One more prediction...

$10 says Boldin stays in AZ for the 2009-10 season, especially after reading this:

That story means one of two possibilities have occurred:
Rosenhaus promised Boldin a new deal, and was unable to obtain it.
Boldin made Rosenhaus try to get him a new deal, and that obviously didn't happen.

Either way, can you imagine some new agent stepping in and trying to strong-arm a franchise into a trade? (Especially, a franchise famous for doing whatever hare-brained thing the cheapass owners want.)
Next, consider this - Boldin obviously has a contract year coming up two years from now. What is most likely to get him the next big deal?
  1. Sacking up, playing, and catching passes from Kurt Warner with Larry Fitzgerald getting the attention of the opposing team's #1 corner.
  2. Not playing, sitting out, forfeiting cash and losing like a douchebag for signing a deal that he refuses to honor.
  3. Some other team making the Cardinals that perfect offer that would make them do something they don't want to do. This would also involve going to play for someone else, and learning a new playbook.

The best answer is answer #1. Why? Well, Boldin comes out looking like the good guy. With answer #2, he looks like a douchebag to the other 31 teams. Fuck what you and I think - if you're an owner or a GM, you don't wanna see yourself giving eight figures to someone who doesn't honor contracts.
Answer #3 is somewhat feasible, but that shit is still more likely to get him less $$$. And fuck, if he's in the business of trying to get mo money, then wtf kinda sense does that make? Also, consider that answer #3 probably involves that other team amending his contract to pay him more. In this economy, who can afford to do that, and who has a feasible situation for that? The answer is - a small number of teams.
Here's why some people are talking about Romania, btw:
